Carlos and Veronica Negrin of Pinetree Pet Resort in Guelph, Ontario came as immigrants from Mexico in 2000. They have a veterinarian degree and have been working within the pet industry since 1986, bringing their knowledge and experience with them.

In 2003, they opened Home Pet Home, a cat and dog grooming salon and retail store. Since acquiring Pinetree Pet Resort in 2005, it’s become a thriving business that promotes the health, safety and comfort of cats and dogs. Over the years, they have improved the facility and added professional cat and dog grooming, doggie day care, a fenced off-leash park and a pet cemetery with funeral services. Providing the best service for you and your family pet in a trusted family environment, all in one place.

Carlos Negrin

General Manager

Carlos is a 1987 Veterinarian graduate from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). In 1992, he received a degree in the area of Canine and Feline Medicine and Surgery. Carlos is also a 2003 Business Quest graduate and has worked as a Veterinarian Technician from 2000 to 2005.

Veronica Negrin

Pet Grooming Salon Manager

Veronica is a 1986 Graduate Veterinarian from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She is a Professional Cat and Dog Groomer from the K-ninos School of Grooming in Mexico and then graduated in 2001 from Bryson Academy of Dog Grooming in Canada.

She is an active member of the Ontario Dog Groomers Association (ODGA), for which she has also served as recording secretary. She is a member of the National Cat Groomers Institute of America (NCGIA) and is a Certified Master Feline Groomer.

Veronica is also a member of the International Professional Groomers Inc. (IPG) and is an International Certified Master Groomer. Additionally, she is a member of the Canadian Professional Pet Stylists (CPPS) and is a Canadian Canine Master Stylist.

Naomi Negrin

Office Administrator and Event Coordinator

Naomi is the daughter of Carlos and Veronica Negrin. Naomi graduated from the Animal Care Program with a Diploma from Sheridan College in August 2013. She is a Professional Dog Trainer after completing the Canine Obedience Training and Canine Behaviour Therapy Course from Canine Academy in December of 2013.

Naomi is a 2014 graduate from the Veterinary Assistant Certification from Georgian College. She has been a volunteer puppy raiser and sitter for the National Service Dogs in Cambridge since June of 2010.

Naomi manages the All Day Play Daycare (ADPD) and is responsible for assessing dogs to be able to participate in Playgroup and the ADPD program.
