Professional Dog Boarding and Doggie Day Care in Guelph

When you go on vacation, or simply need some pet sitting for the day, you want to know your pet is in trusted hands. At Pinetree Pet Resort, we offer year-round boarding for all dogs in a caring and supervised environment. We’ll give your dog the exercise and affection he or she needs while you are away! Each Pinetree Pet Resort pet guest gets individual and personal attention. If requested, we provide active play, like ball catching to a peaceful easy stroll or cuddles for the little ones or senior dogs, in any of our green areas. There is access to an indoor, heated activity area in case of bad weather.

Country Pet Boarding Care For Your Best Friend

At Pinetree Pet Resort, we can accommodate all breeds. The facility is open 7 days a week. Upon request of our boarding services, we also provide pick-up and drop-off transportation for your pet to our boarding facility at an additional cost. 

If it is the first time your dog will be away from home, or your dog is shy, we recommend bringing your pet for a part time or full day care, or one night stay. We also encourage playtime in our off-leash park to make sure he or she becomes familiar with our facility. While you are here, try to be calm and relaxed and talk to your pet about the facility in a positive way to assure your dog.


All of the preparations by the pet owner merely helps for a successful boarding experience for your pet. As a responsible pet owner, there are a few things you must attend to before bringing your pet into boarding: 

  • Make sure that your dog is up-to-date on all of the following vaccinations. 
    • Rabies (puppies six months of age) 
    • Distemper Combo (DHPP or DA2PP)
    • Bordetella (Kennel/Canine cough). Should be given at least 5 days before boarding and must be updated yearly.
  • Your pet should be free of internal and external parasites and not have been exposed to any contagious disease (at least 48hrs, previous boarding).
  • Inform the staff if your dog has any special needs, such as medication, allergies or health problems.
  • Do not feed your dog at least 4 hours prior transportation, to minimize upset stomach.
  • To give your pet some comfort, toy and beds from home are always welcome. Bedding needs to be machine washable.

We reserve the right to deny admittance to pets that lack proof of vaccinations, pets displaying signs of untreated or potentially contagious health conditions and/or aggressive behaviour. We reserve the right to charge handling fees for excessively difficult or aggressive pets, requiring additional staff and/ or additional time in order that we may deliver the proper care.

Any dog requiring medical attention will be taken to the Veterinarian. Charges will be at the owner’s expense. Every effort will be taken to contact pet owner or emergency contact prior to treatment.

Upon admission for services, your signature of contract acknowledges your awareness and acceptance of our policies. Minimum age for all services is 3 months, with a minimum of the first set of vaccinations in addtion the Bordetella vaccine.
